Love at first sight.....

Do you believe in love at firtst sight? I dont..mmm rather I dint until it happened to me...... Yes I fell in love the first time I saw New York City in Aug 2002. I am not sure how great a place it is to live in, but to visit it is my favorite city - the night life just rocks!

On Sunday, after visting D's lab we caught the train from Newark Penn station to NY penn station... enjoyed some beautiful music at the station played by a local band, munched a hot dog and went to China town [no that wasnt me, the place is really called China town] where it was fetivites galore for the Chinese New year.. For a minutte I wasnt sure where I was - NY or Beijing? Drums clanging, men dressed as colourful dragons swaying to the beat and entering each shop to ward off the evil, people shooting confetti into the air - It felt to good to see a crowd full of happy people....after meeting a few of our Chinese friends we made our move to Broadway where we planned to watch a show...

Decided on Lion King, but the tickets were way too expensive, so we got tickets for " Beauty and the Beast" and had to sprint 42nd to 46th street ços the show begun in 5 minutes... the show was awesome. I am no pro ar broadway shows and I really cant tell a good one form a bad one - all I can say is we enjoyed it immensely. It just awes me to see the talents that are exhibited and the effort that goes into each show...

I wanted to have dinner at " hard rock cafe".. However since the waiting time was more than 40 minutes. We decided to find a desi restaurant and walked 15 minutes - but what we forgot was that it was 10pm and all restaurants were closed....We dint have much option but to enter a Japanese restaurant. We had to leave because one bite made us want to throw up......headed straight back home

All in all, it was an awesome trip. If at all anyone can guarantee a good time for me, its D.. Hey D, till the end of our life we'll be the best of friends and of course we'll keep doing tings that we did in undergrad...

Btw, people I am out on another trip tomm to Ann Arbor, MI will let u know all about it on Monday.. till then it's me signing off!
