I dont believe it! I am a 75% MBA and almost seeing light at the end of the tunnel (hope its not my hallucination)..The last quarter of my MBA is no less rigorous except that there is a focus shift from academics into placements...the campus is all ablaze with interview preps and stress levels are soaring -it'll hit an all time high in mid-Feb I guess.....
As for me, New year it is... but the same old crap happening.. after all the day still dawns the same way...I really missed Sam and D on new year..This is the first time in 5 years that I have had a new year without either of them...I have not taken pains to apply to the big two consultants....but almost half the batch has!! I have finally got done with my ELP and thats a great relief. Otherwise in general all is peaceful in the small ISB village...
But, then seems like all is not well with the world outside.... - two separate incidents that have left me shaking with rage..
The Hanging of Saddam - I am not pro-Saddam and I have no doubts that he deserved to die, but who the hell is the Almighty US of A to stick its long nose into another coutnry's issues. So should we hang the greatest American president of all times because the war on terror has killed countless Iraqis and a few thousand Americans. Shudnt we atleast fire him for his non-explanation of Guatanamo Bay?? Btw Mr.President, wasnt the war on terror supposed to be against the perpetrators of 9/11 who were primarily from Saudi - cudnt hurt ur oil business huh?!
The Noida killings - I am not taken aback so much by the goriness of the crime as much as I was by the callousness of the state. All those dead kids were poor, no money, no influence - would that Psychoapath gone unnoticed if one of those kids had been from a rich family. 38 missing and 17 bodies found...Can u believe it, some of them as young as 3 years!!! All of them literally went down the drain for a few lakh rupees of bribe in the police pockets... and a minister calls this "choti moti " baath....I cud even excuse that Moninder guy from capital punishment cos he really must have been out of his mind to commit these heinous crimes...But that fucking politician needs to be shot dead in public!!!
Thats it from me for now...

While understanding ur resentment for the US regime's war against terror (for killing innocents & other atrocities), perhaps you will appreciate there was hardly any other way to take out Saddam.
SR
Yep, I agree with U. 2 different incidents, and the impact is just too much!!!
ANywayz wish u gudluck for the placements ahead:)
hey hey .. you can chide with bush and his policies.. dont be peeved with the US.. you did live here and am not sure if you will be coming back..
i am an indian in the US.. but with the state of affairs in india , i am thinking US is definitely a heaven.. god damn the fuckin politicians and freaking policies
insider - Saddam had to be taken out.. but y Saddam? what abt north korea?what abt the Saudi princes? Why this targetted annihilation -remember 1991...thousands of lives to avenge ur father's humiliation seems kinda unfair doesnt it?!
suresh - thanks
Anon - first of all i'd appreciate if u cud leave ur name. Secondly, I am not anti- US. I like the ppl of US and sometimes wonder how naive they are, how their world ends on the borders of their county and how they suck up all the BS that the US media feeds them. But seriously I really do like them. But the govt is something else. It's deceptive. Indian system sucks -no doubt. But they are atleast forthright and everything is out in the open. But the US govt is a backstabber. I am more wary of the latter than the former.
Noida killings. This was the cover feature of thsi weeks India Today..Trust me i share ur sentiments. It was too gruesome and to think that these ppl were totally safeguarded by the police!!
