Loads to tell...

I was supposed to wirte about the Tie-ISB, life sciences track like three days ago....A lil late now.. but still the session was so impressive that I've got to tell u wat happened. The panel was extremely was great consisting of a person from Dept of Biotechnology, India, Dr.Srini Akkiraju, a venture capitalist who specialises in small biotechs (later I realised that Forbes has ranked him 82nd top deal makers -Midas something list), Mr.Gene Williams, CEO Cambridge Healthcare, MA, USA, Mr.Krishna Ella, CEO of Bharath biotech and the CEO of Claris life sciences India. The session gave me a lot of inputs on what an entrepreuner in life sciences should focus on, what are the possible opportunities in this field and wat might make VCs fund u...On the whole, the event was immensely useful, yet very interesting - I listened with full concnetration for around 3 and half hours and that says it all considering the fact that my usual attention span is usually 10-15 minutes. It was a great networking opportunity to be talking and lunching with all these biggies - on the whole I was feeling really good and happy and very satisified when disaster struck...I lost my brand new cell phone - boooooooo hoooooooo....I had fallen in love with my phone and I am still not over the loss!

After a ritualistic, midterm exam in Investment Analysis, a take home exam in govt, society & business and a group presentation later....Section A decided to have a farewell party of sorts at Bottles & Chimneys - a pub in the city.... Man wat a party that was......the booze was flowing, the music was awesome, the food was good and the dance floor bubbling with enthusiasm and spirit (literally)...we all got kinda senti towards the end....I feel really bad moving away from this comfort zone and I'll miss my study group A1 terribly - we have had a lot of wonderful times....and some bad ones.. but we've lived through it all and come out unscathed. Managing group dynamics has been a major crib of most people on campus - but for us it worked out perfectly!!! Three cheers to group A1...We just rock!!!

One thing I have to mention...the song "tere bin" from"bas ek pal" is mine and AV's top favorite...we've played it atleast twice in every one of the past few group meetings...and yesterday when the song started playing in the party - I went frantically looking for AV and there he emerges from the DJ's den grinning year to year...the song made us (A1) all more senti and we were hugging each other and grinning for fotos and just generally feeling good & happy...
Finally, they had to drive us all out of the pub at 12.45 (usually closes at 12 i guess) and what a shame it was.. we wud have danced and boozed all night....Well all good thing have to come to an end and so it did!!
